Your private room is part of the eco-friendly rammed earth residence - cosy, earthy and warm. Wooden highlights and a spacious bamboo bed are all part of the eco-experience. Your room also features a 2 person sauna, an important part of detoxification programmes.

Enjoy the lush foliage views and distant mountains, whilst you awake to the beautiful sounds of the bellbirds and other unique bird calls. Most mornings, when you step outside your door, you will also see kangaroos and wallabies right outside, feasting on the morning dew-laden grass.

Your room also contains a second-storey 'loft' where you will find a variety of health, healing and spirituality books, audio CDs and videos for your relaxation and personal development time.

Just outside your room, you can enjoy the views whilst you eat or relax seated at the table, in the shade of the umbrella. Or perhaps read a book or set aside some contemplation time in the hammock...jump in the spa and allow the air jets to gently but deeply massage your body. Feel the soothing qualities of the bubbling water as you soak and unwind. If you have a green-thumb (or are working on it!) we can teach you about permaculture and gardening, with many examples to show you from our organic gardens.

 

healthThe Crystal Waters Permaculture Village also presents a wonderful opportunity for you to go for a walk or jog in a pristine environment. The scenery is refreshing, and the fresh air beckons you to breathe deeply and rejuvenate your whole body...when you come back you may choose to use some of the other basic exercise equipment at the retreat.

 

Location Health Retreat

The Natural Attitudes Health and Wellbeing Retreat is situated within Crystal Waters - the world's first permaculture village and is nestled within a scenic rural valley approximatley 1.5 hours drive from Brisbane airport. The Mary Valley and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland are one of Australia's most scenic and sought-after holiday regions.

Crystal Waters is in close proximity to Maleny and within reach of various Sunshine Coast beaches, the Glasshouse Mountains, waterfalls, Lake Baroon, national parks, art, music and craft attractions, local weekend markets, cafes and restaurants.

BY CAR From Brisbane or from the north travel along the Bruce Highway and turn-off toward Landsborough/ Maleny. Go straight through Landsborough and continue along Landsborough-Maleny Road to Maleny (about 10-15minutes). Continue through Maleny along Maleny-Kenilworth Rd. Stay on this road for about 30minutes as you go up the mountain range and then down on the other side. Turn into Aherns Road on the left, which also has a Crystal Waters sign (on the right you will see a Polonia tree plantation). Continue along this road for about 10minutes, when you come to a slight fork in the road stay to the right. Eventually you will come to the Crystal Waters entrance on the right of this road, where you will turn right into Kilcoy Lane. Proceed to Lot 51. Click here for a map.

BY TRAIN INTERNATIONAL and INTERSTATE GUESTS

Departing from Brisbane airport catch the airport train toward the city. The first stop is for Eagle Junction where you will get off the train. At Eagle Junction, change trains for the north-bound train going to Gympie. In approximatley 1hr 15minutes you should arrive at Landsborough station. We will pick you up from this point by arrangement.($60 return trip).

LOCAL From Brisbane catch the north-bound train (using the Nambour train) from Roma Street or Central Station to Landsborough.

Coming down from the north - on a Central/ Brisbane-bound train, you will need to get off at Landsborough station. From here we can pick you up by prior arrangement. Pick-ups from Landsborough train station are $60 return.
